Parenting Workshop
Raising Emotionally Healthy & Secure Children
Raising Emotionally Healthy & Secure Children
This workshop is designed for anyone that is interested in learning about and understanding how to raise emotionally healthy and secure children - who can go on to become emotionally healthy and secure adults in the world.
It is intended to be particularly relevant and useful to both parents-to-be and parents of young children. It will however also be relevant and useful to parents of older children and anyone with primary caring responsibilities for a child.
The workshop involves a combination of structured content, discussion and opportunities for personal reflection. This two-part workshop includes a total of seven-and-a-half (7 1/2) hours content - delivered across two separate days. Please note, to book a place on this workshop, commitment to attend and payment for the full two-part workshop is required.
In the workshop, I will guide you through a wealth of insights taken from the field of Counselling & Psychotherapy regarding the psychological development of health and well-being during childhood; all of which I have found to be fascinating, invaluable, inspirational and transformative to me as a parent.
Rather than prescribing a specific parenting approach with a list of do's and don'ts, this workshop aspires to connect with and inform your approach to parenting at a deeper, more meaningful level. This workshop will provide you with information and opportunities that will enable you to purposefully and confidently consider your own personal approach towards parenting through your relationship with your child; with an intent to raise emotionally healthy and secure children - who can go on to become emotionally healthy and secure adults in the world.
This workshop specifically covers the following topics:
The context of children's emotional health and security and what we mean by it
The crucial role of relationships in developing emotional health and security
The crucial role of the earliest years of life in developing emotional health and security
The human relational needs for intimacy and security in relationship
Attachment theory and it's implications for developing emotional health and security
Conditions of worth and how they impact emotional health and security
How parents can influence and foster secure attachment and emotional health and security for their children.
All content is research and evidence-based, taken from the fields of integrative psychotherapy, developmental psychology and neuroscience.
Workshops are delivered in-person at Squab Hall Farm on the outskirts of Warwick and Leamington Spa in Warwickshire, providing a suitably peaceful and inspiring setting. Workshops are delivered to small groups (maximum 8 attendees). The cost for this two-part workshop is £225.00.
